Norcal House of Chess 2012 Winter Championship

The 2012 Norcal House of Chess Winter Championship is going on this weekend in Fremont at the AllStar Institute, 43697 Mission Blvd at the northwest corner of Mission Blvd. and Pine St., right across from the south entrance to Ohlone College.  I recommend this to all players above 900 who can play both Saturday and Sunday (you can take up to 2 byes if you other conflicts). Entry Fee: $ 55.00.  If payment is received after Feb. 24 or onsite: $ 65.00

($5.00 discount if NHC member; $ 20.00 more if playing up)

February Supplement will be used.

Round times: 5 Rounds and Game in 90 minutes.

Saturday 10:30 am; 2:30 pm; and 6:00 pm

Sunday 9:30 am; 1:30 pm

Byes: Two ½ point byes, if requested before Rd.2

TIME CONTROL FOR THE OPEN SECTION IS DIFFERENT:

30/90 SD 30 (Game in 90 minutes in 30 moves & sudden death 30 minutes)

Saturday schedule Round 1: 1030 am  Round 2: 2:45 pm; and Round 3: 7:00 pm

Sunday schedule Round 4: 9:30 am;  Round 5 2:00 pm
