I would like to thank all those who attended the November 7 Weibel Fall Quads and Grand Prix #2. We had 180 players. You can find links to the new ratings, Alan’s photos and those of Richard Shorman at http://www.CalNorthYouthChess.org/photographs.html. William Chui of San Rafael won the International Master Emory Tate Memorial Chronos Chess Clock for his game against Stanley Ko of Fremont. I have attached a copy of the game. I want to give special thanks to Frisco DelRosario, author of The First Book of Morphy and also of Casablanca, for spending numerous hours looking at all the games from the three rounds played in the over 900 section.
I hope to have even a better turnout on December 12 for the final Weibel Fall Quads and Grand Prix. I will soon be posting the names of those players in a position to win the very large trophies from the Grand Prix. A Chronos Chess Clock will be awarded at the December Quads as well.
