Weibel 2-time National champions!

Looks like Weibel pulled it out in both 10 and Under and 8 and Under.

Weibel 10 and Under wound up with 11 points.
Desiree 4.0 (really good tournament, winning twice playing up and drawing once playing up)
Alisha 4.0
Serafina 3.0

Weibel 8 and Under wound up with 13 points.
Shivangi 4.5
Amirah 4.5
Anvi 4.0

Congrats to all the girls. Great job by all!

Results after Round 5 and Round 6 pairings

Weibel did well in Round 5. 10 and Under is now back in the lead by 1 point, as Desiree, Serafina and Alisha all won, and everyone from the Illinois team lost. Going into Round 6, 10 and Under is up by 1 point 9.5 to 8.5

Weibel 8 and Under is up by 2 points going into the final Round, 11 to 9. Shivangi and Amirah won, and Anvi lost.

Pairings:
Serafina (3.0) has a tough match against World Youth participant Nicole Zlotchevsky.
Desiree (3.5) is facing someone 1175.
Alisha (3.0) is facing an unrated.

Girls' Nationals Round 4

Mixed bag....Weibel 8 and Under girls took 2 out of 3 in Round 4, so going into Round 5, they have 9 points.

Unfortunately all 3 of the girls in 10 and Under lost in Round 4, so Weibel still has 6.5 out of 12 going into the 5th round.

After 3 rounds, Weibel is in first place in 8 and Under with 7.0 out of 9
Shivangi has a perfect score of 3, and Anvi and Amirah have 2

For 10 and Under, Weibel also in 1st place with 6.5 out of a possible 9.
Desiree has 2.5, and Serafina and Alisha have 2.

Anvi has already won her 4th round game already, so results for Round 4 coming up soon.

All Girls Nationals

After round 2, the 8 and Under group for Weibel has 5 points out of 6. Shivangi and Amirah have 2 and Anvi has 1.

After round 2 in the 10 and Under group, Weibel has 3.5 out of 6 right now. Desiree has 1.5, and Serafina and Alisha has 1.

In Round 1, a repeat of what happened at last year's Elementary School Nationals happened. Serafina was supposed to have been matched up with someone well lower for the first round, but the opponent didn't show up. Instead she got matched up with the top player in the group, a 1500 player.

Calchess State results

Weibel won all the lower divisions (1-3 Novice, 4-6 Novice, 1-3 Jr. Varsity/Premier, 4-6 Jr. Varsity/Premier) but sadly did not win any of the Varsity Divisions. Horner Jr. High won the 6-8 Junior High Varsity Division.

Weibel has won the 1-3 Booster (U500) and 1-3 Premier (U800) sections.
